Hailing from South Gate, Los Angeles County and of Latin-American heritage, the name Mellow Man Ace directly headlines the chapters of Latin rap&#39;s earliest years, being the first artist to release a bilingual single, listed off of his memorable debut album back in 1989.

Escape From Havana&nbsp;features the platinum-certified single, &ldquo;Mentirosa&rdquo; which was inspired from Chicano rocker Carlos Santana&#39;s &ldquo;Evil Ways&rdquo;. Being the first rapper to successfully incorporate Spanglish rhymes into mainstream audiences , Mellow Man Ace became known as, &ldquo;The Godfather of Latin Rap&rdquo;.

&ldquo;I remember when we recorded &#39;Mentirosa&#39;... it was the most troublesome, up to that point we never did a song that was bilingual,&rdquo; said Mellow Man narrating the background behind his breakout single, &ldquo;I hadn&#39;t discovered how to do that, even though I had lived in a predominantly Latin neighborhood, it hadn&#39;t hit me yet that we spoke bilingual. So when I figured out the style, it became a no-brainer, the rest poured out like water.&rdquo;

The Godfather of Latin Rap, Mellow Man Ace

Momentum keeps building for twenty-year-old artist, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, who recently gained recognition when he dropped his&nbsp;Artist&nbsp;mixtape earlier this year.

With breakout singles such as &ldquo;Friend Zone&rdquo;, &ldquo;Jungle&rdquo;, and &ldquo;My S&mdash;t&rdquo;, fans await the release of his latest project,&nbsp;TBA.

Scheduled for official release both digitally and physically&nbsp;tomorrow,&nbsp;October 28, the EP features six tracks, which are now currently accesible via streaming, as released beforehand by the Bronx MC.

Recollecting his humble beginnings, Boogie narrates in an interview with&nbsp;XXL, &ldquo;I was sitting in front of the computer and [learning] everything, Fruity Loops, Pro Tools. My dad brought me a microphone. Then I started going to work.&rdquo;

TBA&nbsp;follows the young MC&#39;s voyage across the country touring with Drake and Future for their Summer Sixteen Tour, to which Boogie also shares how the OVO boss approached the younger MC, &ldquo;He hit me up like two days before the Garden. He was like, &#39;Yo, you ready?&rdquo; He also told us he had something in the works with Drizzy, though he wouldn&#39;t say what: &#39;That&#39;s coming in real soon.&rdquo;

While Drake&#39;s message for Boogie comes off as riddling as Drizzy gets, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie&#39;s latest EP,&nbsp;TBA, is already available for streaming via Soundcloud, and hits stores&nbsp;tomorrow.

Spotify just dropped its annual &ldquo;25 Under 25&rdquo; List, which showcases the hottest songs authored by younger talents in the music industry.

Number 3 on the list features Chance the Rapper and his song, &ldquo;No Problem&rdquo; off his breakout album&nbsp;Coloring Book,&nbsp;cataloguing as the highest-ranked MC currently sitting atop the list. The Chicago-based MC was also recently noted as the youngest artist featured on last year&#39;s&nbsp;Forbes&#39;&nbsp;&ldquo;30 Under 30&rdquo; list.

Tory Lanez is featured at number 13 with his song &ldquo;Luv&rdquo;, followed with &ldquo;Timmy Turner&rdquo; by Desiigner at number 17, and number 23 listing Rae Sremmurd and Gucci Mane&#39;s &ldquo;Black Beatles&rdquo;.

Fifty four years ago today, David Parker --a.k.a Chief Rocker Busy Bee Starski -- was born. Still regarded as a legend for his clever battle raps, Busy Bee is one of hip hop&#39;s greatest pioneers, who helped shaped the art form of rap into what it is today.

Busy Bee burst onto the scene in the late 70&#39;s, before the terms &quot;hip hop&quot; and &quot;rap&quot; had even been coined. He performed alongside fellow legends like Melle Mel, Grandmaster Caz, Afrika Bambaataa, and Kool Herc. Busy Bee helped pioneer the rap battles that emcees are still using to test each others&#39; skills to this very day, and his undeniable stage presence and powerful rhymes helped changed the role of emcees from working in support of a DJ to being the stars of the show.

During his almost four decades in the music industry, Busy Bee released three studio albums, and worked on countless tracks with many other hip hop legends, including KRS-One and Marley Marl on their historic 2007 collaboration album&nbsp;Hip Hop Lives.&nbsp;Busy Bee&#39;s contributions to the history and evolution of hip hop are already immeasurable, and he continues to dedicate his life to furthering the art form: earlier this year, Busy Bee also served as the host for Ice T&#39;s recent Art of Rap tour, which featured many of classic hip hop&#39;s biggest acts, including Public Enemy, EPMD, Grandmaster Melle Mel, Mobb Deep, and more.

The film tells the story of the the team of female African American mathematicians who played an integral role in the success of NASA&#39;s Apollo 11 mission, which landed the first men on the moon.&nbsp;Hidden Figures&nbsp;will premiere with a limited run in certain theaters on&nbsp;December 25th, and will be released nationwide later in January.

These two tracks mark the first two songs Pharrell has released as the lead artist in 2016; he was previously featured on songs by Kid Cudi, A$AP Rocky, Skepta, and J. Balvin earlier this year. He also produced tracks for Gwen Stefani and Frank Ocean.

This week&#39;s Artist Spotlight is the one and only Action Bronson, the multi-talented chef, TV show host, rapper, and professional bringer of unpopular, controversial statements. With his unique style and attitude, both on and off the mic, Action Bronson has emerged as one of hip hop&#39;s most unique acts.

Well known for his mix of a Ghostface Killah-esque style stream of consciousness type flow with some savage, laugh out loud insults and smacktalk, Action Bronson is well known for being one of the most entertaining -- and NSFW -- rappers out there.

While he&#39;s not afraid to court controversy, the Queens rapper says his sardonic, often vulgar lyrics weren&#39;t created solely for the purpose of inciting shocked guffaws or bullying easy targets, it&#39;s about keeping things light and building listeners up with humor.&nbsp;&nbsp;&quot;I&#39;m not that type of person.
