You know something big is coming when Cellas don’t seem to contain the Dwellas no more. With Phantasm hitting up the charts with his latest collab-project Louder Than Ever, The Cella Dwellas’ other-half allowed fans a peak of his latest track, “The Mysic”.

Fans have endured an excruciating length, with numerous delays and pull-backs, but with UG’s new single released, fans perceive a significant step closer to his much-awaited album, Portals.

“The Mystic” features production from IDE and showcases a nostalgic return to UG’s distinct art style. With IDE producing an enigmatic backdrop onto which UG shoots rhymes with his cutting-edge precision, the iconic Hip-hop artist delivers magnum opus content in ways only he can manage:

“Listen/ I bang my chest like a bongo/ Congo/ Push rocks like Rondo/ Arms throw/ Combos/ F—k up your whole ensemble,” UG teases as he builds up to his magnetic hook line, “My s—t sound like nothin’ else you ever heard”—tell me that’s not something to get hyped about.

Fans aren’t the only ones, however, expressing their excitement over the new single and forthcoming album, as UG himself voiced likewise. In an interview with UPROXX, the artist provides his thoughts regarding “The Mystic”, as well as relaying what audiences should expect from the upcoming record:

“We are bringing the art of rhyming back along with dope production. Hip-hop is alive and well… Expect to go on a journey. That is the best way to describe it. I make visual music so get ready for the ride. Beats, rhymes, and flows”.

Fortunately, UG’s already graced us with a glimpse of what is to come. His latest single, “The Mystic” flaunts its availability via online streaming, and presents the option for pre-order on iTunes.

The album features several guest appearances from Celph Titled, Mista Sinista, Life Long, Necro, and more; UG’s forthcoming album Portals, is scheduled for release on October 21.
