Throughout the two-minute episode, the pioneering DJ marvels at Run-DMC being on the cover of Rolling Stone, Hip Hop being represented at the Super Bowl and different artists breaking into the movie industry.
Grandmaster Flash specifically talks about the Funky 4 + 1's appearance on Saturday Night Live in 1981, the first time a Hip Hop group ever appeared on national television. He determines, ultimately, Hip Hop is no longer "a ship passing in the night." It's here to stay.
