Comprised of super producer Prince Paul (De La Soul, Grave Diggaz, Handsome Boy Modeling School) Digable Planets’ Ladybug Mecca, producer Don Newkirk, and Brazilian MC Rodrigo Brandão, BROOKZILL! fuses classic New York hip-hop with the sounds of Brazil, providing an all-encompassing, cross-cultural experience.

On Friday (September 30), they shared the new single along with a lyric video for “Let’s Go (É Noiz)” from their debut album,Throwback To The Future, which is out October 7 via Tommy Boy Entertainment. The track is available as an instant grat download with the album pre-order.

“‘É Noiz’ is Portuguese slang meaning ‘it’s us,’” the group explained in a press release. “It’s the only riotous song on the album, a call for action, BROOKZILL!-style. A call to simple, non-consumerist lifestyles where the depth of character and purity of spirit is way more powerful than greenbacks and kicks.”

Throwback to the Future features collaborations with a host of Brazilian artists, keyboardist Brian Jackson, emcees Del The Funky Homosapien and Count Bass D, turntablists Kid Koala, Mr. Len, and more. Singles “Let’s Go (É Noiz)”, “Mad Dog In Yoruba”, and “Saudade Songbook” with Count Bass D are available as instant-grat downloads with the album pre-order, as well.
