With Apollo Brown&rsquo;s rapid-fire instrumentals and Skyzoo&rsquo;s sharp wordplay, fans are slowly envisioning one of Hip-hop&rsquo;s finest tandems. After two years of speculative appearances along tours, collaborations, tours, and styles, the duo finally announced their much-anticipated collaborative album.

Scheduled for release on&nbsp;September 30,&nbsp;The Easy Truth, features Joell Ortiz, Westside Gunn, Stalley, Conway and Patty Crash. Recorded and produced in Detroit, the album presents numerous possibilities even in its pre-release.

Skyzoo attests to the album&rsquo;s content as &ldquo;seeing the world through their eyes&rdquo;, and within their understanding of things: &ldquo;It felt like everything I wanted to speak on in terms of the content. My neighborhood, unbridled but misguided ambition, police brutality, gentrification, the dichotomy that exists in life, everything&rdquo;.

&nbsp;Joined by Westside Gunn and Conway, the song showcases Skyzoo breezing through his distinct magnum-crafted wordplay while being firmly anchored by Apollo&rsquo;s contagious beats. More significantly, their partnership features an unfiltered look &ldquo;into the underbelly of New York&mdash;a black and white examination of classic styles&rdquo;.

Perhaps it comes off as safe to say that we are, undoubtedly, a week away from witnessing the next iconic Hip-hop partnering when Apollo Brown and Skyzoo launch&nbsp;The Easy Truth&nbsp;into the scene.

Apollo Brown & Skyzoo Drop Latest “Basquiat On The Draw”

It&rsquo;s that time of week again, folks&mdash;throwback radio! Today we dive back in 1994 when Bad Boy Records introduced Craig Mack&rsquo;s debut album,&nbsp;Project: Funk Da World!

The record provided the second release under Puff Daddy&rsquo;s Bad Boy Records, following The Notorious B.I.G.&rsquo;s massively-acclaimed classic,&nbsp;Ready To Die. Because of this, Mack&rsquo;s lay overshadowed by the success of Biggie&rsquo;s earlier release.

Despite this, Craig Mack proved a formidable reputation as a Hip-hop artist. His debut album achieved RIAA-certified gold, following the premier of his ground-shaking hit single, &ldquo;Flava in Ya Ear&rdquo; which released earlier that year.

Funk Da World&rsquo;s second single, &ldquo;Get Down&rdquo;, accomplished Mack&rsquo;s second Top 40 appearance in 1994. The single would eventually attain certified Gold in 1995.

Though Mack&rsquo;s debut lay under the canvas of Biggie&rsquo;s album, it would be a crude mistake to dismiss Funk Da World&nbsp;altogether. The album features smooth beats, perfect for cruising down the civics, or just kicking the feet up and chilling.

More significantly, Mack&rsquo;s rhymes seem to have transcended through time, perhaps proving greater relevance in the context of present-day. Furthermore, Mack was among the earliest artists boldly blending their faith into the Hip-hop mix. This is signified in the album&rsquo;s single, &ldquo;When God Comes&rdquo;:

&ldquo;I&rsquo;m on a mission from the kingdom of God/ To do away with MC&rsquo;s dat represent nimrod&hellip; And radio ya need to be ashamed/ For pumping murder, murder, murder all up in our brain/ I&rsquo;ll tell ya now Big Poppa don&rsquo;t like it/ Representing truth when the Mack starts to mic it/ I hope the subject don&rsquo;t turn ya away/ But the whole Hip-hop generation need to pray&rdquo;.

Overall,&nbsp;Project: Funk Da World!&nbsp;Craig Mack present the perfect throwback playlist. Not only does it provide a step back into laid back, refreshing rhythms, but it also projects content very significant for the issues bogging the nations today. It&rsquo;s the Hip-hop movement, all over again.

Throwback Radio: Project: Funk Da World! And Craig Mack

As clocks struck 12 last night Gucci Mane announced the release date of his latest project,Woptober, as well as unveiling the album artwork and a peak at the records 14-song tracklist.

Reportedly Guwop&rsquo;s favorite date, the album is scheduled to debut on&nbsp;October 17, marking only three months since the release of his critically-acclaimed post-prison debut,&nbsp;Everybody Looking, which premiered at #2 off the US&nbsp;Billboard&nbsp;200, accomplishing Guwop&rsquo;s highest-charting album.

With less than a month preceding its debut, Guwop has already graced fans with the album&rsquo;s track listings, which are open for peaks and pre-orders via iTunes. Mane has also addressed guest appearances from Young Dolph, Rick Ross, and Travis Scott.

Also, Guwop has left &ldquo;Bling Blaww Burr&rdquo; currently available for instant download for fans opting for the first-grabs on the album.

Guwop Drops “Woptober” Release Date and More

Beyonce and Jay Z have announced that they will be headlining a Tidal sponsored charity concert at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Bey and Jay will be joined by fellow Tidal artist Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, and Lauryn Hill. Proceeds from the concert will be given to The Robin Hood Foundation, a non profit group dedicated to improving the life of New York City&#39;s poverty-stricken residents by funding food kitchens, schools, and job training programs.

Tickets for the event start at just fifty dollars, which is surprisingly low given the popularity of the acts involved.

The concert will see Jay Z making good on a promise he made at Tidal&#39;s first charity concert last year, when he promised that the show would become an annual event.

Perhaps coincidentally, Tidal announced the concert the same day it was announced that the oft-rumored purchase of Tidal by tech giant Apple wasn&#39;t going to happen. Rumors suggested that Apple was interested in Tidal&#39;s library of exclusive artists and songs, and that the owners of Tidal, including Jay Z, were reportedly eager to sell, as despite rising subscriber numbers, Tidal posted a loss of $28 million dollars last year. Those rumors were squashed last week, however, when Interscope co-founder and Apple exec Jimmy Iovine stated that Apple was more interested in building up their own music services rather than buying up any of their competition.

Everyone loves &quot;Stranger Things,&quot; Netflix&#39;s horror meets coming-of-age series, including Wiz Khalifa, whose new single is both named after and samples the theme song of the hit TV show. 
 
&quot;I took my dreams and made them into something, doesn&#39;t mean I don&#39;t wake up with the same hunger,&quot; Wiz raps over a beat that samples the memorable theme song to &quot;Stranger Things,&quot; originally composed by Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein. The show&#39;s soundtrack has been lauded by critics and has been credited for a resurgence in the popularity of 80&#39;s influenced, &quot;synthwave&quot; music.&nbsp;

The song was written after Khalifa finished his recent &quot;High Road&quot; tour, and apparently the &quot;See You Again&quot; rapper was inspired to create the track after watching the Netflix series during his post tour break and loving it. The song also features fellow Taylor Gang artist JR Donato.

It&#39;s currently unclear if &quot;Stranger Things&quot; will be one of the tracks to appear on Wiz Khalifa&#39;s next album, Rolling Papers 2, which is rumored to be released before the end of the year. Earlier this year, Wiz releasedKhalifa, his fourth consecutive album to chart on the Billboard Top 10.

Wiz Khalifa gets Stranger on new track

Audiences didn&rsquo;t know what to make of him when he first began, so he decided he&rsquo;d become a legend. Fans witnessed a historic chapter as Hip-hop honored Snoop Dogg with the prestigious &ldquo;I Am Hip Hop&rdquo; award,&nbsp;Saturday&nbsp;night at the 2016 BET Hip-hop awards.

Fans worldwide will remember as rapper Kendrick Lamar made a surprise entrance as he walked on stage catering to jam-packed Cobb Energy Performance Centre. As the crowd subsided, Lamar then paid tribute to &ldquo;the ultra-smooth West Coast rapper [who] &lsquo;paved away into many hearts&rsquo; with his authentic rap flow and infectious persona&rdquo;:

&ldquo;He mastered the game through tests and challenges that earned him the respect of a college professor, except his game came from the streets,&rdquo; Lamar said Lamar to a silenced Atlanta crowd and millions nationwide, &ldquo;He put [me] on game, so I would avoid the same pitfalls&hellip; Snoop Dogg was the God, and continues to be so&rdquo;.

And just when it seemed the night&rsquo;s memorable ambience couldn&rsquo;t take a deeper dive, Snoop Dogg walked on stage, crowds roaring and applauding, as Lamar handed him the award.

In his acceptance speech, Snoop emphasized on vitalizing modern artists to persist in &ldquo;pushing the envelope&rdquo; and to keep pursuing originality. It almost seemed as if Uncle Snoop were talking to a thousand younger versions of himself:

&ldquo;To all the young rappers in the game, a lot of people don&rsquo;t understand you. Y&rsquo;all are misunderstood. I was misunderstood at the beginning. So you got to keep pushing, be original and diverse. Hip-hop was created many years ago and it&rsquo;s taken people so many places. You have to be who you are&rdquo;.

Atlanta erupted with one more tumultuous applause, paying their homage to the Doggfather as he walked off the stage and (metaphorically) into the ranks among the Hip-hop hall of fame.
